About us

Wardleys Construction is a well-established company who has been working in the gas / construction industry for 20 years. We lay gas mains/infrastructure & project works in the Northern suburbs. We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Gas Contruction Crew Ledder, Labourer and a Machine operator (Excavation) to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist with the installation, maintenance and repairs of natural gas pipelines and infrastructure. you'll work outdoors in a physically demanding environment as part of a team committed to safety, quality and efficiency. It would be a bonus if you had any experience with gas or other construction areas. Not a must as we will provide all training. Work is available for immediate start and ongoing. Excellent rates depending on work experience and attitude towards work. Must be able to start the on-boarding process immediately with consists of a few hours of online induction and face to face induction. Followed by having a drug and alcohol test.

Qualifications & experience

  • Construction White Card
  • Car License
  • Truck License
  • Skilled Laborer
  • Machine Operator
  • CPR / First aid
  • Needs to be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • Experience working on a construction site previously.

Tasks & responsibilities

Perform tasks involving physical labourer at construction projects and sites. To assist and maintain day to day activities on a building site with respect to all the relevant stages of the project.

  • Working within a team.
  • Assist with trenching, pipe laying, backfilling and restoration work.
  • Communicates essential information.
  • Knowledge of working around underground assets.
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment and hand tools
  • Have an awareness of machine operations.
