About Us

Salt & Smoke Meat Co. is a family-owned butcher shop with locations across the Gold Coast, known for high-quality, ethically sourced meats and excellent customer service. We're expanding at Pacific Fair and are looking for a motivated Apprentice Butcher to join our team.

The Role

As an Apprentice Butcher, you'll learn all aspects of the trade while working alongside our qualified butchers. This is a hands-on role where you'll be trained in:

• Breaking down and preparing a variety of meats
• Knife skills, cutting, and portioning
• Sausage and smallgoods preparation
• Food safety and hygiene practices
• Stock rotation, storage, and shop presentation
• Customer service and sales techniques

• Commitment to completing a formal Butchery Apprenticeship
