About the Team
The Service Model for AMYOS encompasses intensive, outreach-based and longer-term community mental health treatment underpinned by reflective practice and a well-connected team. AMYOS teams work with high risk adolescents with severe and complex mental health presentations who have difficulty engaging in clinic-based services, their families and other stakeholders to achieve positive treatment outcomes.
AMYOS teams are part of the integrated continuum of care for adolescents requiring mental health treatment in CHQ. AMYOS is a multidisciplinary team, who provide ongoing recovery-oriented assessment and assertive treatment and care through intensive and flexible approaches (such as mobile interventions on an outreach basis in a community or residential setting) to engage young people, their families and other stakeholders.
About the Role
In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
Deliver high level clinical services in accordance with the discipline specific Code of Ethics and the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce. This includes:
Provision of high level independent clinical services including assessment, treatment and case management to children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems, and their carer networks.
Demonstrate clinical leadership in the advocacy for the mental health needs of service consumers and their carers and relevant agencies within the mental health team.
Provide intensive, developmentally appropriate, community-centred, mental health interventions and ongoing assessment for adolescents who require higher intensity treatment, rehabilitation, and support to recover from mental illness.
