About the Region
The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. The region is home to the stunning Bunya Mountains, where you can enjoy spectacular rainforest walks, nights by the fire in hidden chalets and the best scenic views Queensland has to offer. The South Burnett region is renowned for its great wine, gourmet foods and recreational facilities such as Lake Boondooma and Yallakool tourist parks.
About the role

- $69K - $78K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking an officer to coordinate the identification, development, provision and delivery of learning and development activities for Council staff, as well as provide support for human resources related activities/duties as required. The role will collate and coordinate the training requests, and identification of internal training and oversee the provision of training requirments including but not limited to sourcing quotations, trainer identification, room hire, equipment, staff attendance, sustenance, travel and accomodation. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in a People and Culture role, particularly within Learning and Development, ideally gained through a Local Government environment with the well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.

Mandatory Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver's licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Certificate IV in Human Resources or relevant field

Skills and experience
**Please address the following key selection criteria items below, as part of your application**
- Demonstrated experience in a People and Culture role, particularly within Learning and Development, ideally gained through a Local Government environment.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and presentation skills, with ability to organise training organisational wide.
- Knowledge of the legislative requirements surrounding registered training organisations and funding/ incentive claim processes linked to skills training trainees and apprentices.
- Ability to monitor and action all tasks within the expected timeframes, meeting deadlines of multiple activities whilst holding a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of and application of the Microsoft suite of products, and Corporate Software Systems.
