Functions Manager

About the role

Northbridge Brewing Company is seeking an experienced Functions Manager to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our thriving functions business, from event planning and coordination to customer relations and financial management. Based in our Northbridge, WA 6003 location, this position plays a crucial role in driving the success of our hospitality operations.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the end-to-end planning and delivery of corporate events, weddings, and other private functions hosted at our venue
• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and develop tailored event proposals and packages
• Coordinate event logistics, including booking vendors, managing event timelines, and overseeing set-up and tear-down
• Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the event planning process and on the day of the function
• Monitor and report on event budgets and financials to maximise profitability
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote our functions services and drive bookings
• Supervise and mentor the functions team to maintain high standards of performance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our functions operations and customer experience

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar functions or events management role, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Proven track record of successfully planning and delivering a wide range of corporate and private events
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills
• Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Financial acumen and experience in managing event budgets and maximising profitability
• Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Management, Event Management or a related field
