As the Lifestyle Assistant, you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team and play a pivotal part in the planning and implementing of wellbeing activities for the residents of St Vincent's Care Werribee.  

St Vincent's Care Services Werribee is a contemporary boutique aged care facility, providing a high-quality haven of care within the centrally-located Wyndham Health Precinct. It is an 80 bed facility located 30km south-west of Melbourne's city centre.
We are seeking people who are passionate about providing care that is sensitive to resident's individualised needs, preferences and choices and are committed to building strong, meaningful connections with residents.

This is a part-time, fixed-term role for a period of 3–4 months to cover staff leave. With opportunities for casual work after this term.

Availability is required on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Duties include:

  • Planning events

  • Bus outings

  • 1:1 time with residents

  • Run group activities

Things that work for us:

  • Previous experience in an Aged Care setting (desirable)

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or diversional therapy (desirable, not essential)

  • Understanding of Dementia and Behavioural Management

  • Strategies for managing behaviours in a positive and person-centred manner.

  • High level of customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (valid within 6 months)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement for this role.
