Salter Point Western Australia Joseph Banks Aged Care Facility Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Retirees WA Inc. is looking for a caring, enthusiastic person to join our Lifestyle Team at our 120-bed Salter Point Aged Care Facility

Positions available:

• Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm

• Part-time role: Monday to Wednesday, 9am-5pm

Essential Qualifications:

  • A healthy sense of humour and the ability to laugh out loud
  • Empathy with older people and the ability to see the person
  • Cert IV in Ageing / Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent
  • An understanding and knowledge of the Aged Care Standards
  • Additional training in dementia and diversional therapies would be advantageous
  • You must be an Australian citizen or have PR status.
  • Excellent communication skills, including good written and verbal ability
  • Good computer skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating and assisting with therapeutic programs based on the interests and needs of the person
  • Maintenance of therapy documentation
  • Working with the Lifestyle team to achieve the best outcomes for people living at Salter Point Aged Care Facility
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives throughout all aspects of the home.
