In this role you will:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable software applications and APIs
- Develop and integrate solutions using AI tools to enhance automation, efficiency, and decision-making
- Lead the implementation of new features and enhancements across web and mobile platforms
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables
- Maintain and optimise relational databases, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning
- Integrate data from multiple sources and external APIs to support operational workflows
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers
- Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and deployment guides
- Monitor application performance and proactively address bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities
- Provide Tier 2 support for escalated service desk issues, including software bugs and system anomalies
- Assist with basic desktop and mobile device support when required (e.g., iOS, Windows, MDM)
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development
Strong proficiency in:
C#.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Web API development
- JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React)
- T-SQL and relational database design (SQL Server)
- Xamarin Forms or cross-platform mobile development
Experience with:
Development using AI tools
- RESTful API design and integration
- Writing and maintaining user and technical documentation
- Source control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex software issues
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Class C driver's licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
Experience with:
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Windows Server, IIS, and Linux environments
- iOS device management and MDM platforms
- PHP, Apache, and cross-platform web hosting
- Geospatial data tools and mapping APIs
- Diagnosing and resolving database performance issues
- Customer service and stakeholder engagement
