About the role
Rostrevor Group is seeking a skilled and experienced FIFO Fitter/Boilermaker to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of mining projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a FIFO Fitter/Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of mining equipment and machinery at our sites located in Adelaide, South Australia.
What you'll be doing
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a range of mining equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment, and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Fabricate and weld components as required to maintain and upgrade equipment
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety standards and procedures
- Provide support and mentorship to junior team members
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and practices
What we're looking for
- Qualified Fitter/Boilermaker with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and equipment used in the mining industry
- Strong fabrication and welding skills, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
- Ability to work effectively in a team and provide mentorship to junior team members
- Valid driver's licence and the ability to work on a FIFO basis
