This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and contribute to the upkeep of Mackay's beautiful parks and open spaces.

About This Opportunity
As the Leading Hand Parks Maintenance, you will:

• Oversee maintenance activities for grass, garden beds, trees, cemeteries, and camping grounds across the Mackay area.
• Supervise a team and provide expert advice on parks maintenance practices.
• Ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with Council standards and service level agreements.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Qualification in Horticulture
• QLD C Class Drivers Licence
• General Construction Induction Card
• Chainsaw Level 1
• Medium Rigid Truck Licence
• ACDC Weed Spraying Licence
• Practical horticultural experience in a similar role, understanding the specific demands and responsibilities of parks maintenance and team supervision.
• Ability to effectively communicate work instructions, plan, and schedule horticultural tasks and projects to ensure successful delivery within deadlines.
