Structural Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering calculations, assessments, and designs across major ore processing facilities. You will collaborate closely with operations, project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant structural solutions are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural engineering calculations in line with Australian Standards and industry best practice.
- Conduct assessments of existing structures using modelling tools (e.g., SpaceGass), including vibration and fatigue analysis.
- Experience working on ore processing plants.
- Develop finite element (FE) models and carry out FE analysis for steel structures.
- Prepare sketches and concepts for strengthening and modification of existing assets.
- Review structural design reports and calculation packages submitted by consultants and inspectors.
- Undertake inspections to define scopes of work for upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with engineering leads, project managers, and compliance teams to deliver safe and effective outcomes.
About You
- Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in structural engineering within heavy industry, mining, or related sectors.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SpaceGass; FE modelling experience highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
