Chefs & Cooks

We're currently on the lookout for a qualified Chef or Cook to join our great team here at the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Lifesaving Club. We operate out of two venues and are located right on the beach in Currumbin

The successful applicant will be looking at a 30+ hour roster. Even if you are looking for a few shifts a week to supplement your current wage, we would love for you to apply.

The role will include:

• Provide quality dishes which have been prepared, cooked and presented in accordance with the Supporters Clubs Service Standards within the appropriate time frames required.
• All aspects of food preparation.
• Ensure workstations and areas are kept clean at all times.
• Pack away and rotate stock.
• Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries.

The successful applicants will be reliable, be energetic, have a 'can do' attitude, keen to join an amazing and fun team and can keep a smile on their face while working at a fast pace.

Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen operation as a Chef/Cook will be a major advantage to your application.

As a Chef/Cook here with us at the Vikings it is a requirement to ensure hygiene standards and cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen, adherence to all policies and procedures ensuring the highest standards are maintained to provide members and guests with consistent service quality, with emphasis on customer service, food quality, presentation, health, hygiene, sanitation and safety.
