About the company:
We're seeking an experienced Health and Social Planner to join our Community Wellbeing team. This role will lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of key health and wellbeing initiatives that support a healthy, connected, and inclusive Bayside community.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and review of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
- Provide expert advice to support the Disability and Inclusion Action Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan, and Volunteer Management Plan.
- Apply health data, research and best practice principles to guide initiatives.
- Build strong networks with government, service providers, and community groups.
- Support Council's child safety obligations and promote safeguarding practices.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, or community development.
- 3–5 years' experience in health and social planning, ideally with local government.
- Strong knowledge of the Public Health and Wellbeing Act and related frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.
