The Opportunity
CARE Australia (part of CARE International) is an international aid organisation working to defeat global poverty by supporting women and girls to create lasting change in their communities around the world.
As the Media and Communications Coordinator, you will support the Interim Senior Manager, Media and Communications, to deliver strategic campaigns and communications to grow and protect CARE Australia's profile, highlight global humanitarian and development stories, increase engagement with target audiences and raise public fundraising income
.

We're looking for someone who brings:
- Some experience in the communications and/or media sector combined with some content creation experience (copywriting and editing).
- Excellent communication skills, with some experience writing for a broad range of audiences and channels within tight timelines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create and foster collaborative and productive relationships with internal clients and external organisations
- An understanding of the Australian, and to some extent, the global media landscape.
- Knowledge and experience of international aid and development would be an advantage
