We're looking for a skilled and proactive team member to help shape and sustain our stunning grounds across two unique sites in regional Victoria – Cave Hill Creek (near Beaufort) and Silverband Lodge (Halls Gap).

About the Role:
You'll be part of a small team that takes real pride in the spaces we work in and care for. Working 2-3 days a week at each site, you'll have the opportunity to use your plant knowledge, practical skills, and creativity to maintain and improve diverse landscapes.
This isn't just maintenance – it's about making thoughtful decisions on what to plant where, helping shape outdoor environments that thrive across seasons and support sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Present gardens and grounds to high standard
• Develop garden, landscape and annual maintenance plans
• Assist with planting plans, garden layout and landscape design
• Maintain lawns, garden beds, shrubs and trees to a high standard
• General garden maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding and slashing
• Select and establish plants suited to specific conditions (soil, climate, aspect)
• Maintain fences and irrigation systems
• Manage pest and weed control, including safe herbicide application
• Lead landscaping, irrigation and environmental projects
• Operate and maintain equipment including tractors and chainsaws
• Clean gutters, prepare for fire/storm season, support firewood supply
• Care for chickens and assist with light animal care duties
• Record maintenance activities and ensure site safety compliance
• Assist with contractor supervision and site logistics
• Contribute to emergency management
• Contribute to a culture of child safety
What You'll Bring:
• Strong plant knowledge and the ability to select the right plant for the right place
• Hands-on horticulture, landscaping or grounds maintenance, and aboriculture experience
• Creativity and a keen eye for detail in garden design and presentation
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites with excellent time management
• Confidence operating machinery and equipment (tractor, chainsaw, mower, etc.)
• Licences or experience in herbicide spraying, chainsaw use, tree lopping, chipper, chemical handling and tractor driving highly regarded
• A practical mindset, physical fitness, and a love of working outdoors in all seasons
• Understanding of WHS and environmental safety practices
