Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Zero Harm Business Partner to join our Zero Harm team and play a key role in n shaping a culture of safety and continuous improvement, driving proactive risk management and ensuring the wellbeing of every team member across the organisation. Reporting to Zero Harm Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

What You'll Do 

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on all Zero Harm matters, providing guidance and support to leaders and employees. 

  • Facilitate the development of a Zero Harm leadership culture focused on manager-led delivery of positive outcomes. 

  • Implement The Downer Standard (TDS) and support delivery of the Zero Harm Strategy. 

  • Lead and coach incident investigations using ICAM or equivalent methodology. 

  • Conduct risk assessments, trend analysis, and deliver training/coaching as required. 

  • Monitor legislative changes and communicate best practice initiatives. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

     

What You'll Bring 

  • Formal work health and safety qualifications (Diploma or Degree in relevant discipline) 

  • Trained in ICAM or equivalent investigation methodology [mandatory]. 

  • Previous practical experience within a Workplace Health & Safety or OHS related role. 

  • Experience conducting WHS/OHS management system audits within the past 2 years. 

  • Exposure to high-risk industries, preferably construction, infrastructure or FM. 

  • Strong skills in risk assessments and verification of site safety management plans. 

  • Ability to obtain and retain Defence Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
