About Us:

We are a friendly, professional dental practice in Balmain dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our team is seeking a reliable and experienced Dental Receptionist who also has hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position for an individual who enjoys both front-desk responsibilities and understanding the clinical side of dentistry. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of dental reception experience and be familiar with sterilization procedures and infection control protocols from their assisting background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients with a warm, professional, and caring approach
  • Manage phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries efficiently
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
  • Process payments, insurance claims, and patient records accurately
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure smooth office operations
  • Coordinate with dental assistants and clinicians to support daily workflow
  • Assist with sterilization and infection control procedures as needed
  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments according to clinic protocols
  • Maintain sterilization logs and infection control standards
  • Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are properly prepared and maintained

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental receptionist
  • 6-12 months of dental assistant experience is required for this role
  • Knowledge of instrument sterilization and infection control protocols
  • Experience in dental practice software oasis (training for Oasis will be offered)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment
  • Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
  • Must have Australian work rights to be considered for this position
