Job Title: Female Disability Support Worker

Location: Gosford, NSW 2250

Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time

  • Starting at $35 per hour as a base rate/ penalty loading applicable

Hours:

  • Every Tuesday, 10 PM to 9 AM (overnight shift), and one Sunday per fortnight, 9 AM to 3 PM (morning shift), totalling 28 hours per fortnight..

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. The successful candidate will work 28 hours per fortnight, with opportunities for additional shifts if desired. You will be providing personalized support to an individual with disability to maintain independence and enhance the quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with dressing, bathing, and meal preparation.
  • Support clients in managing their health and wellbeing, including administering medication if required.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transportation, using your own vehicle as necessary.
  • Engage in recreational and social activities to promote client's independence.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members and family.
  • Participating and ensuring client needs are attended to promptly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Disability Support or related field.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Female applicant required due to personal care nature of the role.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to be flexible with working hours and shift patterns.
