Burton Civil Maintenance is a business underpinned by a legacy of experience within the civil sector, working on significant major infrastructure, our civil capabilities provide a range of services in the civil maintenance arena.

We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer who brings diligence, initiative, originality and above all an eagerness to learn that aligns with the business direction. This role offers the opportunity to develop knowledge and gain hands on experience alongside an experienced site construction team. The successful candidate will adapt quickly to established structures and systems, demonstrate thorough knowledge of civil construction methodologies, and prioritise best practice, quality and safety.

Exposure to a civil construction site environment is desirable. The role provides a crucial link between site operations and the Project Management Team, offering essential technical support.

This opportunity will suit a graduate who does not fit the traditional mould. We are seeking someone with the stamina to thrive in a dynamic environment, the flexibility to work nightshift, and the drive to contribute to a business on a strong growth path, committed to making a lasting impact in the industry.

Essential Competencies

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

• Professional conduct in interactions with senior management and clients

• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet evolving deadlines

• Familiarity with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements

• Sound knowledge of civil construction methodologies

• Competency in reading and interpreting numeric plans
