About The Opportunity
We are looking for passionate
Leisure and Lifestyle team members
to join us across our facilities in
Casual or Permanent Part-Time roles
. In this rewarding position, you will design and deliver engaging recreational and lifestyle programs that promote the health, happiness, and well-being of our residents. By fostering a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment, you will play a vital role in enriching daily life and helping residents feel connected and valued.

The Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Design and organise a variety of recreational and social activities, including arts and crafts, music, gardening and outdoor activities.
  • Encourage and support residents to participate in lifestyle and recreational activities, including excursions and special events.
  • Develop and implement programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities, with a focus on inclusivity and engagement.
  • Promote opportunities for all residents to participate in leisure programs, particularly those with dementia or at risk of social isolation.
  • Arrange and coordinate special functions, including celebrations for birthdays, name days and other significant occasions.
  • Monitor residents during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being while observing and reporting on their engagement levels.
  • Support residents in maintaining connections with family, friends and community activities.
  • Document residents' changing needs, progress and participation in care plans and progress notes.
  • Report any injuries, hazards or illnesses promptly, and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

What Success Looks Like For This Role

  • Cert III or IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (or equivalent) and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • Demonstrated experience providing activities in an aged care setting.
  • Reliable with the ability to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
  • Experience working with people with dementia.
  • Awareness of WH&S laws and safe manual handling practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and demonstrate empathy.
  • Ability to speak Greek desirable
