Integrity Case Manager

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Bowls Australia Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Part time position (0.6 FTE) with flexible (hybrid or remote) location.

Bowls Australia (BA) is the national governing body for the sport of bowls in Australia, committed to ensuring a safe, fair and inclusive sporting environment for everyone involved in the game.

We are seeking a highly skilled Integrity Case Manager to join the newly formed Bowls Integrity Unit on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE). This specialist position plays a central role in embedding the National Integrity Framework (NIF) within Bowls by overseeing the management, triage and resolution of complaints received from the bowls community.

About the Role:

The Integrity Case Manager (ICM) is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the triage and management of complaints initially received via the Bowls Integrity Hotline and complaint management system working closely with Rely who provide these services.
  • Assessing complaints to confirm scope, category and appropriate jurisdiction, delegating matters where appropriate to State and Territory Associations, Regions or Clubs.
  • Managing investigations and resolution of Category 2 and Category 3 matters under the SIA Case Categorisation model.
  • Liaising with Sport Integrity Australia on matters that fall under their remit.
  • Collaborating with the Inclusion & Integrity Education Manager to ensure a holistic approach to diversity, equity, inclusion and integrity education, training and Category 1 matter resolution. Managing Code of Conduct and historic pre-NIF complaints as required.

This role is part of a specialist integrity unit designed to ensure the highest professional standards in investigation, complaint management and education – rather than a generalist integrity role.

The 0.6 FTE workload will be delivered across regular, structured days each week to ensure reliability and accessibility. The role should be performed independently of any concurrent employment, maintaining clear separation and focus on BA integrity matters. The structuring of days and hours will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

About You:

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in investigations, regulatory or compliance roles — ideally from a law enforcement, legal or regulatory background.
  • Strong understanding of investigative processes, procedural fairness, confidentiality and natural justice principles.
  • Highly developed analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the National Integrity Framework, or associated frameworks from professional sports or government agencies, will be highly regarded.
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain independence, and handle sensitive issues with discretion.
  • Adaptability and critical thinking to contribute to ongoing process and policy improvements — both within Bowls Australia and across Australia's evolving integrity landscape as it continues to mature.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a national movement embedding best-practice integrity systems across community and elite sport within Bowls' 1,800 clubs and 140,000 registered competition players.
  • Flexible work arrangements and the opportunity to contribute from anywhere in Australia.
  • Collaborative and values-driven team culture focused on inclusion, education and fairness.

How to Apply:

To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and how you would contribute to the Integrity Unit by 5pm AEDT on Tuesday 2nd December 2025.

Bowls Australia (BA) is committed to protecting children and young people from harm. BA requires all applicants who are to work with children and young people to undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment, a process that may include, but is not limited to, comprehensive reference checks, an identity check, a 'working with children' or equivalent check and/or a 'national criminal history record' check.
