Campbelltown Presbyterian Community Childcare Centre is a Christian Centre that caters for children 0-6 and 6-12 year of age

We are currently looking for enthusiastic part-time OSHC coordinator to join our team.

Requirements as OSHC coordinator

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensure the service program, learning opportunities, and development is aligned with the My Time Our Place curriculum and the National Quality Standards
  • Supporting a team of educators under the coordinator
  • Implement and evaluate programs indoors and outdoors
  • Create a stimulating and positive environment for the children where they feel safe and supported
  • Work closely alongside the service director in ensuring compliance
  • Writing observations on children programs and projects
  • Monitor staff interactions to ensure they are in line with the MTOP
  • Develop strong relationships with children and their families
  • Maintain professional and effectively communication with staff, parents and carers

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Certificate 3 or Diploma in Children's Services (or willing to obtain)

· First aide (Including Anaphylaxis and CPR or willing to obtain)

· Working with Children's check

· Align with Christian beliefs of the Presbyterian Church

· Experience working within a school aged children environment

· Enthusiastic and career oriented

· Understanding of the MTOP and NQF

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Being proactive within the centre and learning environment

· Able to work in a team environment and working closely alongside the director

Responsibilities and must have criteria

  • Cert 3/4 or diploma in early childhood or willing to obtain
  • Able to work split shift and all school holidays
  • Oversee the running of the OSHC independently along side the nominated supervisor
  • Ensure all compliance is maintained both on the documentation and physical environments of the OSHC area
  • Demonstrated Strong Educational Skills and Christian beliefs
  • Knowledge and understanding in the collection of children's records and observations.
  • Excellent documentation skill
  • A good understanding and awareness of the cultural needs of families
  • Awareness in allergies and risk minimisations
  • The ability to communicate with staff, families and children in an open and honest professional manner ensuring at all times that care and education of the children remain the priority of the Centre.
  • A good understanding of the MTOP
  • Reliable and honest
  • Willingness to learn on the job
  • Bubbly and positive attitude

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

  • Ability to work 3pm - 6pm Monday through to Friday with additional hours during the school term and up to 38 hours during the school holidays (this will be mandatory for a successful applicant)
  • Do you have excellent written and verbal communication skills including hight quality documentation skills and time management?

Experience:

  • Early childhood education or OSHC: 2 years (Required)
