About the Role

The Program Manager leads the delivery of services in a defined region across a suite of areas including but not limited to Alcohol and Other Drugs, Housing and Homelessness, Social and Emotional Wellbeing etc. They are responsible for managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders in relation to programs design and delivery, developing funding submissions and managing contracts.

The Program Manager is responsible for:

  • On-going management and monitoring of service delivery and program staff across designated Ngwala programs
  • Ensuring contractual service deliverables are understood and managed effectively
  • Developing innovative solutions and resolutions to identified service delivery gaps and issues

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and monitor service delivery processes for all relevant programs and services
  • Supervision and clinical supervision of relevant staff
  • Ensure contractual service deliverables are understood and managed effectively
  • Evaluate programs and services in line with continuous quality improvement processes and consumer feedback and implement associated improvements
  • Utilise effective decision making and management, service and solution development for relevant programs
  • Ensure effective communication, coordination, and facilitation of service delivery activities between staff and clients
  • Compile, analyze and interpret statistical data and trends relating to service delivery and operational effectiveness and implement appropriate solutions
  • Develop and deliver post incident reports on all critical incidents for relevant programs
  • Manage and lead the process of the selection, orientation and performance monitoring of the team.
  • Coordinate and deliver timely and accurate internal / external reports as required

Skills & Experience

  • Qualification in Community Services and/or Alcohol & Other Drugs (Desirable)
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people and/or individuals within the Community Services sector and/or individuals facing Alcohol & Other Drug issues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and commitment to the Aboriginal community
  • Ability to provide leadership, mentoring and line management supervision to a team of specialist workers
  • Able to develop positive relationships with clients and work within a stressful environment
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge in case management
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi skilled team
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite and client management systems.
  • Competent in using a mobile phone, apps, and all aspects of computer operation.
  • Able to work independently with multiple clients when necessary

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • National Police Certificate (no older than 3 months).
  • Victorian Employment Working with Children Check
