About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Qualified Mechanic or experienced Automotive Apprentice to join the team at Ultimate Autocare Jindalee in Jindalee, QLD 4074. This full-time position will allow you to apply your expertise in automotive repairs and maintenance, contributing to the success of our family-owned workshop.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing a wide range of mechanical repairs and servicing on various makes and models of vehicles
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to identify the root cause and determine the appropriate course of action
  • Completing scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations
  • Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a clean, organised work environment
  • Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients
  • Potentially mentoring and training apprentices, depending on your experience level

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics or a relevant trade, or a willingness to complete an apprenticeship program
  • Proven experience as a Mechanic, with a strong understanding of automotive systems and components
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and team members
  • A valid driver's licence and your own tools
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position
