Phillip Island Carpet Court is a locally owned flourishing floor and window coverings business in Cowes, Phillip Island.

We offer a wide range of quality floor and window solutions for full installation or DIY projects. Our business services private and commercial property on Phillip Island and surrounding districts including, Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires including private homes and holiday rentals, businesses, schools & churches and retirement villages. Phillip Island Carpet Court's small passionate team take pride in our work and our ability to provide a positive experience for our customers.

The Role

This is a customer-facing role, you will help guide clients through their flooring and window covering selections - whether it is new carpet, vinyl or hybrid flooring for their home or business, a rug for their living room or custom window furnishings for their house. You will provide expert advice, answer questions, and ensure every customer walks away feeling confident and cared for.

Skills and attributes

  • Previous Retail sales and/or experience in flooring retail an advantage
  • Comprehensive IT skills and knowledge
  • Good understanding of retail sales processes
  • Ability to complete all required tasks at pace and provide updates to other team members
  • Flexibility to work independently and in a team

Role overview

  • Greet customers and create a welcoming, friendly showroom experience
  • Understand customer needs, make recommendations and book measures and quotes
  • Prepare quotes, process sales, order stock and assist scheduling installations
  • Maintain strong customer relationships with a focus on exceptional follow-up and communication
  • Stay up to date with products and services
  • Work closely with our small team to meet shared goals and support daily operations
  • Must be available to work at least two Saturdays per month (9am-1pm)
