We have an exciting, unique position available for a Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our specialist medical practice in South Brisbane.

About Us:

The Melanoma Centre is a specialist medical practice providing skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. Established in the year 2000, we are the longest running skin cancer practice in Queensland.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team. We have both a Casual and Full-Time position available.

This role is responsible for

  • Providing exceptional patient care in a team-oriented environment
  • Preparing consult rooms, treatment rooms and maintaining infection control standards
  • Sterilisation of instruments and maintenance of equipment
  • Assist with a range of procedures
  • Stock management and ordering
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Administrative duties including greeting patients, phone enquiries and processing payments

What we are looking for:

  • Certificate III in Dental Assisting (desirable, but not essential)
  • Minimum one year Dental Assisting / Reception experience or in a similar role within the healthcare/medical industry
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training
