We are seeking a highly experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the delivery of a high-profile public building fit-out project in Canberra.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering a commercial interior fit out to the highest standards, on time and within budget. This is a hands-on site-based position, reporting to the Project Manager, and responsible for managing daily site operations, coordinating trades, and ensuring strict compliance with WHS and project specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to finish
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades
  • Ensure work is completed to design specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor project timeline, materials, and resources
  • Enforce site safety, inductions, and compliance protocols
  • Liaise with Project Managers, consultants, and client representatives
  • Conduct site meetings and prepare progress reports

About You:

  • Proven experience supervising commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects, ideally in the public/government sector
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, WHS regulations, and construction practices
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
  • White Card and relevant trade or building qualifications
  • Current driver's licence and own transport
