We are looking for an Accounting & System Specialist to join our team in Australia .

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Accounting

  • Perform period end close tasks and processes in accordance with established schedules
  • Reviewing and analysing monthly financial results for data integrity · Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of tax filings and compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Collaborates with the Accounting Manager and wider Accounting Team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned activities

Systems

  • Lead support for D365 related queries and general "how to" guidance
  • Maintaining the accuracy and reliability of financial data within the systems, adhering to accounting standards, regulatory requirements & application of accounting and IT policies and procedures
  • Identifies and implements improvements in D365 in line with Sulzer 2028 initiative
  • Recommends policy and procedure changes to improve the timely performance of Accounting activities
  • Contributes to ensure service delivery of the team is within the agreed SLAs and KPIs
  • Collaborates with wider business to ensure optimum use of D365

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills at all levels both internally and externally
  • Excellent financial analysis and advanced accounting knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, structured
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in system upgrades, enhancements, and configuration of financial systems
  • Understanding of job costing essential
  • Ability to identifying areas for improvement in financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proficient MS Office, incl. Excel (analytical / excel modelling)
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft D365 and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting
