Optical Dispenser for Independent Practice

My Optometrist, a newly renovated, independent practice in Underwood, is looking for new optical dispensers with both part-time and casual roles available Our lovely team has three experienced optometrists and two full time dispensers who will teach you everything needed to succeed in this role. We pride ourselves on maintaining integrity, offering first-rate eyecare and customer service, both meeting and exceeding patient needs.

About the Role

Reception work including booking appointments, answering phone calls and processing payments

Dispensing and ordering suitable frames, spectacle and contact lenses for patients

Spectacle repairs and troubleshooting

Previous optical dispensing experience is ideal, but not required, as training will be provided

Skills & Requirements

Be motivated, friendly and present professionally

High levels of customer service, retail sale and interpersonal communication skills

Be able to deal with problem solving and learn on-the-go

Basic computer competency

Availability to work on Thursday evenings and Saturdays through the year

Availability to work through our busy retail period from November to early January

While we are looking for people with availability for a variety of days and hours, we are flexible around other personal commitments (study, other work etc.)
