About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team at Wire Industries Pty Ltd in Glendenning, NSW. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our industrial machinery and equipment.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair on a variety of industrial machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement effective solutions
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the broader team to support the efficient operation of our production facility
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade, such as Fitter and Turner
  • Extensive experience as a Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and find practical solutions
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and dexterity, with a keen eye for detail
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
