About cape
cape group (cape) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee providing services to people with a disability and is a Registered NDIS Provider.
Nadrasca joined with Brite in April 2025 to form cape group, a newly formed brand resulting from the merger of the two NDIS registered providers with a combined 120 years in operation across the eastern and northern suburbs.
Together, we provide a range of services for people with disability, including home and living supports, social and community participation activities, youth employment assistance, supported employment, and NDIS support coordination.

The Position
The Employment Coach role, working within the Employment Services team has responsibility for the engagement and support of our supported team members.
In particular the role provides:
• Closer supervision of supported team members who require frequent prompting and reminders to stay on task.
• Support for supported team members who may have behaviour/s that require closer supervision.
• Assistance to supported team members to learn new skills and tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing support to supported team members in line with their supported employment.
• Reporting any progress or concerns to Employment Services team for accurate recording.
• Ensuring work health and safety guidelines are adhered to.
• Working within the guidelines of NDIS and escalating relevant information to appropriate manager.
• Working with colleagues in a supportive and cooperative manner.
• Maintaining clear professional boundaries with supported team members.
• Advocacy and support to all supported team members engaged in supported employment.
• Completing progress notes on daily basis of support training provided to supported employees.
Production tasks
• Assisting supported team members to develop desired skills to maintain their employment. Developing/reviewing daily and weekly plans with supported team members to assist them in reaching their goals.
• Share concepts and ideas in a way that supported team members and colleagues easily understand. Assisting supported team members in decision making and planning.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to all supported team members.
• Actively listen to and effectively respond to feedback.
• Assessing and managing risk and behaviours.
Qualifications and Experience
• Formal qualifications – Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent. – Preferred
• Working knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards – Desired
• Experience in the disability sector – Preferred
• Proficient computer skills in databases like a Client Information Management System (CIMS) – Desired
Skills and Attributes
• Current valid driver's licence essential; ability to drive a small minibus is highly desirable.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to prioritise and plan own workload.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks.
• Ability to exercise sensitivity and maintain strict confidentiality, when required.
• Strong customer service ethic.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders.
• Self -motivated and able to work with minimal direction and supervision, with a proven ability to work autonomously and within a team.
• Ability to be flexible and work using own initiative.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.
