AW Maritime is a specialist coastal and maritime engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality solutions across Australia and the Asia-Pacific. Our projects span the full project lifecycle — from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support — across ports, harbours, coastal protection works, and marine infrastructure.

We're looking for a
Coastal Engineer
to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in delivering technically challenging and rewarding projects, working alongside a talented group of engineers who are passionate about shaping resilient coastal environments.

About the Role

You will:

  • Lead and contribute to the planning, design and delivery of coastal and maritime engineering projects.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects, including client communication, budgeting and scheduling.
  • Undertake coastal process modelling, design of coastal protection works, and assessment of coastal hazards and risks.
  • Work collaboratively with within various teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

About You

You will have:

  • A degree in civil, coastal or ocean engineering (or a related discipline).
  • At least 5 years' professional experience
    in coastal or maritime engineering.
  • Proven
    project management
    and client liaison experience.
  • Strong
    technical capability
    , including familiarity with coastal processes, modelling tools and design standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • The current right to live and work in Australia.
