We're on the hunt for a Department Manager to launch and lead our brand-new Hawthorn Property Management team. This is a rare opportunity to play a foundational role in shaping a new office under the Nelson Alexander brand, one that's set to thrive as we continue to grow across Melbourne. What you'll be doing:

  • Build and lead the day-to-day of our PM team including Property Managers, Leasing, Admin & Reception
  • Create a culture of open communication, mentorship and collaboration from the ground up
  • Oversee team development, client service and operational performance
  • Champion best practice, legislative compliance, and process improvement
  • Work closely with experienced leaders across the wider Nelson Alexander network for support and knowledge sharing

What you bring:

  • 6+ years in Property Management, with leadership experience or a hunger to step up
  • A calm, considered approach with strong people and conflict resolution skills
  • High emotional intelligence – you know how to lead with empathy, clarity, and fairness
  • A current Estate Agent's Licence (or Agents Rep) and a reliable vehicle
  • The ability to be present, consistent and engaged during business hours
