Employment Type: Full-time (minimum 38 hours per week, overtime as required)

Salary: Starting at $39 an hour, plus superannuation

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Skid Steer Loader / Bobcat Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining plant machinery to safely and efficiently move, load, and manage soil, rock, and other materials across our project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position plant for operation in accordance with project requirements.
  • Select, fit, and remove attachments such as buckets, winches, and loading scoops.
  • Operate skid steer / bobcat controls to move, load, and distribute natural materials.
  • Monitor machine operation, adjusting controls to regulate pressure, speed, and flow.
  • Maintain awareness of site safety and ensure the safety of all workers in proximity to plant operations.
  • Raise, lower, and manipulate attachments using manual and hydraulic controls.
  • Work from site drawings, markers, and verbal instructions.
  • Service, lubricate, clean, and refuel plant equipment.
  • Perform minor adjustments and basic mechanical repairs as needed.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated experience operating skid steer loaders / bobcats in a construction or earthmoving environment.
  • Relevant plant operator ticket/licence (Skid Steer Loader competency).
  • Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to carry out minor maintenance.
