Job Description

The Facilities and Maintenance Officer will be based at our new production facility in Jandakot, Perth and will be responsible for planning, managing and carrying out maintenance activities across the Distribution Centre. This role plays a key part in ensuring safety, sanitation, and reliability standards are consistently met.

Reporting to the Site Director, this is a hands-on position that involves performing and overseeing technical tasks related to the engineering, installation, and maintenance of production equipment, warehouse infrastructure, and site facilities.

You will…

  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment including refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, general repairs and other assets in the distribution centre

  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues including repair and replacement of assets to minimise production downtime

  • Source and manage spare parts, consumables, tools, and other related maintenance equipment needed to ensure assets are in good working order

  • Coordinate with the National Maintenance Managers and site stakeholders to plan, install, commission, and maintain production equipment in the distribution centre

  • Manage contractors and suppliers; define scope of work, oversee tasks, and ensure completion of deliverables

  • Promptly communicate all safety related issues and concerns

  • Support equipment and facilities upgrades required to improve safety, quality and productivity

  • Manage Ice Production for the site and the machinery attached

  • Achieve National and Global KPIs related to Preventative Maintenance, downtime and efficiency

You have/are…

  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a fast paced production or warehouse environment

  • Relevant trade qualifications in electrical, mechanical or maintenance fields (highly regarded but not essential)

  • Practical knowledge of facilities management and site infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of OHS and Food Safety requirements in a distribution or production setting

  • A hands-on problem solver who can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • A team player and effective communicator who leads by example and builds strong working relationships

  • Comfortable working weekends and in cold or refrigerated environments when required

  • Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and video conferencing tools
