**Gas Distribution Officer - Mechanical Fitters**

ATCO's Australian operations are headquartered in Perth, Western Australia and specialise in creating innovative, customer focused energy and infrastructure solutions. ATCO owns and operates Western Australia's largest gas distribution network, with more than 750,000 connection points and 14,000km of pipelines.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- Undertake maintenance and construction activities associated with the gas distribution network including valves and end of line facilities (e.g. meter sets, regulator sets and pressure reduction stations) in line with our Asset Management Plan and capital works program.
- Undertake inspections of gas distribution assets and record/report any corrosion, integrity, performance and functionality issues in accordance with company procedures.
- Collect gas samples for odorant analysis across the gas distribution network.
- Participate in the "24/7 On Call Roster" for the Facilities Maintenance team at nominated intervals.
- Operate machinery, equipment and tools in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

**Desirable education, skills and experience**:

- Previous related experience within a utilities role/environment will be highly regarded
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding are preferred
- Ability to work in various types of customer-based premises
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Workplace First Aid Certificate
- Working in Confined Spaces Certificate
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Current Drivers Licence
