Quantum Comms is a well-established company specialising in Rigging, Civils, Comms, EWP and plant hire with a long history of delivering complex projects in the telecommunication field. Currently based in Victoria with a presence in Queensland, SA, NSW and WA, with the ability to service Clients Australia wide. We have a highly skilled team with over 100 staff members.

About the Job

This is an opportunity for experienced professionals in fabrication. You will be responsible for completing assigned fabrication tasks according to our specifications and timelines.

You will be required to read and learn how to interpret detailed drawings and specification requirements, fabricating structural steel and various metalwork and working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum, using hand tools, heavy machinery and welding equipment.

About You

  • Proven experience in metal fabrication (minimum 2 years)

  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage time and changing priorities

  • Flexible, self-motivated with demonstrated initiative

  • Computer literacy

Duties and Tasks

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and plans

  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components to specifications

  • Weld or bolt parts as required (MIG, TIG, Stick welding skills preferred)

  • Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely and efficiently

  • Ensure work meets quality and safety standards

  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to meet deadlines

Qualifications/Tickets/Licenses

  • Trade qualifications in Fabrication or Welding (desirable) or equivalent
  • First aid & CPR (desirable)

  • Own tools, PPE, and reliable transport

  • White Card (Construction Induction Card) – required for on-site work

  • Australian full driver's license

  • Crane and Forklift license (desirable)

  • National Police check (or willing to get one)
