About The Role
We're looking for a practical, safety-minded Distillery Operator to work at our Glenalbyn/Inglewood site.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be operating Isimek 5,000kg/hr Biomass steam boiler, its ancillary equipment, tractors and other farm machinery to keep our distillery running smoothly. If you like working outdoors, operating machinery, and being part of a close-knit team, this could be the job for you.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role Are To

  • Operate boiler and ancillary equipment including biomass feed silo, automated control system.
  • Operate Distillery equipment including separators, water softening apparatus, crane operated Vat lids, tractor, forklift, side tipping Vat trailers and Telehandler (loading).
  • Arrange removal of ash, blowdown water and distilled oil.
  • Assist with accurately weighing and recording eucalyptus oil produced and arrange for shipping pick ups to Oakleigh South site.
  • When distillation is complete, remove lids, move and unload spent material.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Loading and unloading of vats using Telehandler
  • Provide occasional support to Harvest and Haulage team as directed

Ideally, You Will

  • Current Boiler Certificate – essential
  • Current Victorian Driver's licence – essential
  • Experience working in an agriculture, horticulture or forestry operations.
  • Ability to work autonomously in an isolated farm environment.
  • Ability to operate farm and harvesting machinery with care and safety.
  • Mechanical aptitude with solid experience in basic farm equipment repairs.
  • Experienced in tractor operation, loading and loading vats and trailers
  • A desire to learn and improve ability by becoming multi-skilled
