Sales & Business Development professional - Lighting Control & Home Automation

Sydney - Part-Time (2-3 Days, in the Office)

Our client is Sydney's experts in lighting control and home automation. They supply, maintain, and repair advanced lighting control systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

From new builds to retrofits, their systems give builders, designers, and homeowners smarter, more efficient, and more beautiful spaces.

They are now looking for a Sales & Business Development professional to help grow their client base, strengthen relationships, and win market share from the competition. This is largely outbound phone call based, to the likes of Building and Facility Managers, Body Corporates and Strata companies, Rental/Leasing Management Agents, Lighting Designers, Electricians and other trades (approx. 3 days per week) including in-office admin, quoting, and support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Driving new business and developing your own call list and target list in cooperation with the business owner
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and partners
  • Promoting companies reputation as the go-to team for lighting control solutions
  • Preparing quotes, proposals, and admin follow-up in-office
  • Identifying opportunities in maintenance contracts to expand recurring revenue
  • Setup meetings with and getting to the right decision makers.

Looking For..

  • A confident communicator with sales or account management experience (electrical, AV, home automation, or construction sector experience a plus)
  • Someone motivated to think out-of-the-box and find ways to connect with the right people, and build relationships
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to balance sales activity and office admin.
  • A professional who thrives in a small business where your contribution makes a visible difference.
