Job Description

As a journalist, you will be responsible for creating new content based on interviews and company announcements, helping write and curate daily video script content, as well as producing other content for our platform peripheral to news reporting.

What You'll Do

• Review and prioritise daily company news releases
• Write, fact-check, and publish articles covering these releases
• Be involved in creating quality, accurate content for various platforms that keep our audience informed and interested
• Write, fact check, and publish topic-specific feature articles for
  
  partners
• Research and write content across our multimedia platforms
• Crafting attention-grabbing social media posts accompanying news articles
• Proofread copy including social media posts, marketing materials, advertisements, among other internal/external documents

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor degree in journalism, communication, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience working in journalism/reporting in the business and/or mining space preferred but not required
• Capable of writing in an ethical and objective manner
• Enthusiastic, empathetic, and eager to learn on the job
• Passion for chasing leads and storytelling
• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to accurately fact-check and research data/information
• Ability to meet deadlines within a vibrant, fast-paced, and ever-changing newsroom environment
• Wordpress experience preferred but not required
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and networking skills
