Are you a creative and strategic communicator with a passion for community engagement? Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking a Communication Coordinator to lead the promotion of Council initiatives and decisions across the region.

In this dynamic role, you will develop and implement communication strategies, manage media relations, oversee digital content, and coordinate public events. You'll be the key link between Council, stakeholders, and the community—ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive Communications Strategy.
  • Manage Council's media presence, website, and social media channels.
  • Produce promotional materials and coordinate civic events.
  • Support internal communications between the CEO and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in media or communications.
  • Diploma or higher qualification in communications or related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Experience with website management and social media platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.

Salary & Benefits

  • Base Salary:  $101,512.29– $111,692.94per annum (depending on experience)
