The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Team Leader – Scope+ to join our Operations team at Praemium. This hands-on team leader role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Scope+ service, ensuring accurate and efficient portfolio administration, reconciliations, and reporting for our clients.
You'll lead a team of six analysts, providing guidance, technical oversight, and support to ensure portfolios are managed to the highest standard. With a strong focus on process improvement, operational excellence, and quality outcomes, this role plays a critical part in ensuring client satisfaction through precision and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance across all areas of portfolio administration, including reconciliations, settlements, income processing, pricing, corporate actions, and portfolio reporting.
- Lead by example in resolving complex exceptions, break investigations, and data discrepancies across domestic and international assets.
- Oversee daily team operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all portfolio activities.
- Review and refine reconciliation and reporting workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Mentor and develop analysts by sharing deep technical knowledge and setting clear quality standards.
- Support automation and system enhancements to strengthen data integrity and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
Desired Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 – 5 years' experience in a senior or leadership role within portfolio administration or investment operations.
- Advanced understanding of portfolio reconciliation, financial instruments, and investment data flows.
- Proven experience managing complex portfolios involving domestic and international assets.
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement initiatives highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with SQL or data analysis tools.
