About the Role
We are seeking a Geotechnical Design Engineer
to join our team on a
12 month fixed-term contract
. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering geotechnical solutions from investigation through to design and construction support.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Design Manager to review tender drawings and geotech reports
- Prepare prelim tender designs for foundation piles and shoring walls
- Prepare design reports and markups for live projects
- Carry out design checks for any non conformance on site
- Ensure final design is compliant to required standards and within budget
- Visit site as required to carry out inspections of piling works
About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about geotechnical engineering. You will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- 3+ years' experience in geotechnical design, analysis, and reporting
- In depth knowledge of using Plaxis 2D, 3D and Wallap software
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and geotechnical design principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's licence (Ideal but not essential)
