ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sports Performance Dietitian to join our Performance Services team at Cricket Australia on a part-time basis (3 days per week). We are looking for a highly skilled Sports Performance Dietitian to provide world leading sports nutrition services to Cricket Australia Mens Programs.

In this pivotal role, you will impact the performance, development and wellbeing of players in the Australian Mens Team, CA Mens Contracted Player list and Mens Development programs. You will ensure the delivery of performance nutrition systems and advice is world leading and aligned with our strategy of enhancing our leading international systems and programs.

As the Sports Performance Dietitian- Mens Programs, other key responsibilities of your role will include:

  • Performance Nutrition Servicing: Provision of detailed, individualised sports nutrition advice to CA Contracted Mens Players and Australian Mens Team Players to enhance performance, reduce injury risk, assist in injury rehabilitation and strengthen wellbeing.
  • Australian Cricket Sport Science Sports Medicine Principles: ensure nutrition related policies and guidelines are implemented and adhered to within CA Mens Programs.
  • Education Programs and Platforms- Development and delivery of performance nutrition education to CA Mens development programs, ensuring aligning with CA Development program goals. Utilise innovative methods of educating and engaging CA Mens program players and staff in ongoing performance nutrition education.
  • Food Service and Product Supply: Working collaboratively with Team Operations to ensure catering provided to CA Mens Teams meets player requirements for performance and recovery. Ensuring nutrition supplements and sports foods provided to players and teams adheres to AC Supplement Policy requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Pro-active collaboration with CA Mens Program Performance Services staff, coaches and operations staff to ensure effective delivery of performance nutrition systems on tours. Liaison with CA Lead Sports Performance Dietitian, CA Medical Officers, CA Anti-Doping Officer and CA integrity on anti-doping matters. Collaboration with State and Territory Sports Performance Dietitians to ensure aligned nutrition goals and plans for Mens Contracted players and Players of National Interest.

We see this role as being integral to the performance and wellbeing of CA Mens Programs. If you are a highly motivated and experienced Sports Performance Dietitian who is skilled in collaborating with multiple stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes, then we want to hear from you.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Accredited Member of Sports Dietitians Australia with a minimum of 5 years experience working as a Sports Dietitian in an elite team sport environment
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications: minimum of a Bachelor, Graduate Diploma or Master of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the performance nutrition needs of individual players across numerous programs using world's best practices
  • A proven record of incorporating up to date research and ideas into provision of nutrition services
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with players and staff (including when working remotely)
  • A comprehensive understanding of anti-doping matters in the context of supplements and how they apply to players
  • Strong stakeholder relationships and comfortable having courageous conversations
