Sid Fogg's is also one of the largest, most experienced and respected educational tour providers in NSW, providing educational excursions to hundreds of schools and thousands of students each year.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on frontline leadership role, managing depot operations, staff, and charter bookings to ensure Sid Fogg's remains a successful and profitable business.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily depot operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Manage charter enquiries, produce quotes and maintain bookings
• Allocate drivers and vehicles in line with their capabilities
• Produce driver work tickets and ensure records are up to date and accurate
• Liaise with drivers and subcontractors to assess availability
• Forward plan to ensure optimal fleet utilisation
• Build strong relationships with staff, drivers, and customers.
• Champion Safety & Compliance ensuring Health & Safety standards are met and maintained.
• Monitor and manage fatigue
• Respond to customer queries and assist with complaints as required.
• Assist with organising in service breakdown response & repairs
• Drive continuous improvement across operations.
• Maintain customer relationships through exceptional stakeholder engagement
• Respond to Emergency bussing as required
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
• Uphold Sid Fogg's quality standards and fulfil customer requirements

You will need

• Proven experience in operations, logistics, or transport (bus/coach industry preferred).
• To be an engaging leader with a passion for safety and their people who thrives under pressure and knows how to bring out the best in their team.
• Strong team management skills — you lead your people with fairness, clarity, and consistency
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• To be organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• In-depth understanding of compliance, fatigue management, WH&S and the Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements under Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).
• Proven operational, people and safety leadership capabilities
• Experience with scheduling/booking systems (e.g., Coach Manager) desirable.
• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong operational planning skills with ability to develop and implement successful operational strategies
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
• Current Australian drivers licence
