The Opportunity

We're seeking a capable and enthusiastic Recreational Programs Coordinator to lead the delivery of our recreational gymnastics program. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends planning, communication, and mentorship — ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about creating positive experiences for children and families.

As the key point of contact for coaches and parents, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, support coach development, and ensure our programs run smoothly, safely, and with purpose. You'll also play a central role in lesson planning and program refinement, helping us maintain high standards and a strong sense of community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Program Delivery: Oversee the smooth, safe, and engaging running of recreational classes
  • Coordinate Lesson Planning: Develop and refine lesson plans that support progression, variety, and enjoyment across all levels
  • Parent & Family Liaison: Build strong relationships with families, respond to inquiries, and ensure a welcoming experience
  • Track Gymnast Progress: Monitor development and progression, balancing technical growth with fun and motivation
  • Coach Mentorship: Support and guide our coaching team, fostering a positive and professional environment
  • Program Development: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of class structures, training resources, and delivery standards
  • Facilitate Communication: Ensure clear, consistent communication between families and staff
  • Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling, class coordination, and maintaining program records

What We're Looking For

  • A confident communicator, a proactive leader, and someone who thrives in a people-focused role.
  • Somone who brings energy, organisation, and a genuine passion for helping children grow through movement.
  • Experience in gymnastics or youth sport is highly regarded, along with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoon, evenings and weekends
  • First Aid certification and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Gymnastics Australia coaching accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
