Senior Family Services Practitioner Allocations Coordinator

- Max Term Part time role (9 days per fortnight) from 02 October 2025 – 02 October 2026

As a Senior Family Services Practitioner (Allocations Coordinator) you will coordinate all aspects of referral, entry, engagement, and allocation of cases from Child FIRST/The Orange Door. You will undertake risk and needs assessments, deliver short term case management, and provide an active holding function to children and families who are referred to the Family Services Program. Working collaboratively with Child Protection, you will support families to enhance parenting capacity, family functioning and promote child safety. needs and entrenched family patterns, develop innovative approaches and where appropriate, mentor the team implementing these approaches in working with families, children and young people.

You will have Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related discipline
You will also have:
- Current Drivers licence valid in Victoria
- Demonstrated experience in the community services sector in a case management role
- Demonstrated experience in the child and family welfare field, this experience will be in Child Protection, Out of Home Care, Family Services and/or other services working with vulnerable families and children.
- Experience working with young people who have experienced abuse and trauma.
- Understanding of the implications of abuse and trauma
