The company

Our client is a leading, global financial services organisation that offers a diverse range of services to clients from varying industries. The business continues to enjoy substantial year-on-year growth, with a significant amount of M&A activity in the region.

The role

Reporting to the Australian CFO and managing a high-performing team, the primary purpose of this business facing role is to undertake analysis and provide insights to identify opportunities for better business partnering, and to support decisions of the CFO and wider business. The role is also responsible for the production of Group reporting for the Asia Pacific business and liaising with global Group Finance.

Specifically, you will:

  • Undertake analysis to direct financial and operational decisions and solve complex problems across all areas of the Australian and Asia businesses
  • Be a trusted advisor to Executive Management and P&L leaders across the business, providing value-add decision support and guidance
  • Provide strategic financial and operational insights through reporting and ad-hoc analysis
  • Advise on risk and opportunity considerations for revenue growth and cost management
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process across APAC businesses for delivery to local leadership and global Group Finance
  • Deliver Group reporting requirements for the APAC Leadership team
  • Be the key point of contact for the global Group Finance team
  • Manage and lead a high-performing finance team

Ideal skills and experience

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - able to confidently partner with Executive Management and non-finance stakeholders
  • Relevant experience across FP&A and commercial finance/decision support
  • Previous team leadership experience
  • Financial services sector experience
  • CA/CPA qualification
