Overview

The Head of Finance & Business Partnering plays a strategic leadership role in connecting finance with broader business operations. This role is pivotal in embedding financial insight into decision-making, driving performance, and supporting growth across insurance portfolios. Working closely with the GM SBS, Group Finance, and customer CFOs, the role ensures alignment with strategic goals and delivers commercial value.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance business partnering function, providing strategic financial advice to executives and business unit leaders.
  • Deliver high-quality performance reporting, forecasting, and commercial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Distribution, Technology, and Risk teams to translate strategy into financial plans.
  • Oversee financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning.
  • Act as the key liaison with the Finance Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Manila, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in SSC operations to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance business partners, fostering a culture of accountability and commercial acumen.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or Master's degree required.
  • 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, including 5–7 years in leadership within a shared services or business partnering environment.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry financial operations, including claims, policy administration, and regulatory reporting.
  • Proven success in managing complex financial processes and driving improvements in shared services.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and leveraging technology for process optimisation.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and financial compliance frameworks.
  • Flexibility to work across global time zones as needed.
