Electrical and Telecommunications Technician

With the continued growth of Alliance SI, we are looking to add additional Electrician and Telecommunications Technicians (dual trade) to our expanding Brisbane team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a key member of our team, you will:

• Utilise your expertise in installing, testing, and commissioning fibre optic and copper cabling infrastructure for our clients.
• Deploy and decommission enterprise ICT and computer equipment, including server cabinets and racks.
• Handle cable management, encompassing containment baskets/trays and ducting.
• Manage small commercial fitouts, with the goal of large commercial installation works as experience increases.
• Play a pivotal role in mentoring apprentices completing their training, as well as working with other experienced technicians.
• Liaise with customers and collaborate to achieve various projects within our fast-paced, growing environment.

What You'll Need:

• To hold a current QLD Electrical Licence and ACMA cabling licence, with endorsements in structured and fibre optics, as well your White Card. 
  
• Also hold a current drivers licence.
• Lighting, power and minor automation experience installation is a plus (CBUS, Dynalite).
• Be eligible to obtain your baseline/NV1 security clearance.
• To bring experience in technical telecommunications, specialising in fit outs and advanced fibre optic installations.
• Be confident in working with servers, networking equipment, routers, switches, cooling units and WiFi. Experience in cable patching would be highly regarded.
• We willing to be a part of an on-call roster.
• Excel in both collaborative team environments and in working independently.
• Showcase proactive problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail and always have focus on health, safety, environment and quality.
